Early risers can watch the sun rise over the sea, mesmerized by the kaleidoscope of colors that fill the sky, and if rising at sunrise is too much of a commitment after a night of revelry (the sun will rise at 7:16 AM on New Year’s Day), sleep in as late as you need and meander over at the opposite end of the day (5:49 PM) to watch the stunning show in reverse. The serenity of the sea, the breathtaking feeling of insignificance against the magnificence of the waters of the Gulf, and the happiness of this moment in town will be banked as insurance against later days that may not be as wonderful as New Year’s Day, 2025, was in Port Aransas.

If you were here for Christmas, you may have noticed that Roberts Point Park was holiday central, providing Christmas lights, Christmas trees, and a variety of Christmas events that add cheer and joy to your travel adventures. It should be of no surprise that the fun continues into the new year as Roberts Point Park is where our Port Aransas annual NYE fireworks display is held every year!
